Life in Oklahoma

I quit my job and left New York just over a week ago, and it's still a bit surreal that in two days I will be moving to France. Being back in Oklahoma and hanging out with old friends has been a blast, but living with my parents even for 10 days has been "interesting." Not going to work has been great, though. The days consist of sleeping in, running errands, exercising, napping, organizing my stuff, and drinking too much with friends at night. It's been between 95-101 and humid every day, but I love the heat, bright sun, and especially the thunderstorms, and will miss them when I leave.

(Homey Home)

Lots more little tasks to take care of before I go. Today I need to get an international driver's license from AAA, have some more passport size photos made (you always need more that you think), call the bank to let them know I'll be out of the country, make photocopies of my important documents, get some traveler's checques maybe, and start thinking about what to pack. Lots to do!
